Brian Stenerson

Originally from Denver, CO, Brian grew up skiing before switching to snowboarding at age 10. His love for snowboarding brought him to Tahoe in 2011, where he found his passion for splitboarding and big mountain freeriding. He has been a competitive snowboarder for 9 years, dedicating most of his Winter season to traveling around North America in his van for freeride competitions and participating in a number of unique freestyle & race events in between.

His dog Rocker is always by his side, whether it’s sitting copilot on the way to the next competition, or deep in the mountains on another one of their countless splitboarding adventures.

During the Summer you can find Brian racing mountain bikes, completing off-season training at PT Revolution, or on a crazy mission to get in some extra turns on his board, which he still rides 12 months out of the year.

Josh Daiek

Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Josh was brought up with a hard work ethic, and big drive and motivation that define the Motor City. The former big mountain competitor resides in Lake Tahoe, embracing the mountain lifestyle. With a passion for the outdoors and drive to challenge his abilities and physical limits, the mountains are the natural place for growth and progression for Josh as a multi-sport athlete.

Maia Bickert

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Maia has embraced all things outdoors from the beginning. At 6 she was hooked on Alpine ski racing, and continued on to compete in Junior Olympics, US Nationals and NorAms. When a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes shifted her perspective, she attended UC Berkeley to study Immunology. Balancing books and powder days back home in Tahoe, Maia found her fire in backcountry skiing. She now has her own business, and also volunteers with several nonprofits to advocate and educate people about Type 1 Diabetes. In her spare time you’ll find her in the mountains skiing, trail running, climbing, mountain biking and exploring as much as possible – “What is life if you’re not living it ?!”

Todd Renwick

From a small Northern California town, Todd has spent the past decade chasing a life on bikes. What started as a fun hobby evolved into a passion for the adventure, the challenge and the community mountain biking brings. Todd has competed in both Downhill and Enduro, landing on podiums from the National Championships to the US Open and more.

When he’s not riding or racing bikes, Todd works as a bicycle mechanic and trail builder. Living in South Lake Tahoe he spends his spare time enjoying the endless opportunities for outdoor adventure in the Sierra Nevada.

Mike Emmet

Born in Maryland, Mike learned to ski on the small hills of Western Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. After getting his bachelor’s degree, he decided to leave the east coast in 2016 and moved straight to South Lake Tahoe to pursue his passion for skiing. Mike has coached the Freeride Ski Team at Kirkwood Mountain, and has also competed in Freeride World Qualifier events over the past 6 years. In the winter, you’ll most likely find Mike skiing at Kirkwood or ski touring and snowmobiling in Tahoe and the Eastern Sierra. When he’s not skiing, Mike likes to truck camp (hopefully near a hot spring), mountain bike, play the drums, hang with his pup Levi, and dive for trash in Lake Tahoe and its tributaries. Mike is a 100 Ton US Coast Guard certified boat captain, an FAA Part 107 Drone Operator, and also a volunteer for Clean Up The Lake.

Jasper Donley

Born and raised in Tahoe, Jasper crawled on granite and learned to walk with ski poles. A competitive skier since the age of four Jasper has stood on many podiums in many disciplines.  Jasper has an extensive halfpipe,  slopestyle and Big Mtn Freeride background but ultimately switched his focus to Big Mtn skiing at sixteen when he placed first in the 2016 Whistler IFSA Jr 3*. He persists as an adult in the FWQ and aspires to make The Freeride World Tour Big mtn, with the backcountry being the heart of his passion for skiing. With a lifetime of Big Mtn Freeride experience Jasper coaches a competition team for Kirkwood Freeride.  You can find Jasper in the backcountry filming with the @squidandfriends a group of local winter athletes producing ski content and short films. Jasper is also an avid climber, mtn biker and Fly Fisherman, as well as a professional Fly Fishing Guide for Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters.

Max Fish

In the winter I focus on competing in Far West alpine ski races. I also enjoy freeskiing with my friends, finding sick jumps, and skiing powder.

In the summer I am a NICA mountain bike racer, BMX racer, TAMBA volunteer trail builder, bike park dirt jumper, and high alpine fisherman.

Two cool things about me are that I have skied for the last 76 straight months, and I am the youngest finisher of the Gunbarrel 25 at six years old.

Kash Vankirk

My name is Kash VanKirk and I love everything outdoors.  I’m a ski racer, cyclist, and outdoorsman. My story started with the influence of my parents who introduced me to the outdoors. From wearing a batman suit on the bunny run of a ski hill to whipping around a fly rod while its line was tangled in a bush as I yelled at my dad to help, I’ve found a life in the outdoors. Now it’s turned into a passion of sport from flying down a hill at speeds that seem like 100 mph on flat skinny sticks, or enduring 100 mile bike rides, or having the perfect precision and timing to get a fish’s attention.

Maddie Bowman

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Maddie’s love of skiing took her to the top of the Olympic podium in 2014 and brought her five X Games Gold Medals. Maddie’s love of action sports runs much deeper than halfpipe skiing. Maddie lives for skiing steep couloirs, riding mountain bikes, and walking her cat.

Jake Dore

Jake moved to Tahoe 20 years ago, never having raced bikes or competed in snowboarding until he became a Dad. After racing pro enduro, Jake now competes in the 40+ masters pro class. He finished 1st overall two years ago and 2nd overall last year in the California Enduro series. When not being a carpenter he is digging trail. Jake is also a proud dad.  Oh, and he splitboards too.

Charlotte Mahoney

Charlotte grew up skiing in Vermont, then fell in love with the West Coast when she moved out to California in 2016. She’s lived in South Lake Tahoe since 2020 where she first started backcountry skiing and found her passion in freeride skiing. After the massive winter of ‘23, Charlotte was inspired to start competing in freeride through the Freeride World Qualifier events, which has only deepened her obsession for skiing since. Charlotte loves competing because it sparks a new drive to progress in new ways continuously, pushes her to ski in conditions she thought she’d left behind in Vermont, and connects her with a supportive and inspiring community. The skills she’s learned from freeride have inspired her to expand her backcountry style, finding endless inspiration in the beautiful chutes and features of the Sierras. Charlotte loves every season in Tahoe, but any time there’s snow on the ground is definitely her favorite, and she’ll keep chasing those glory turns no matter what time of year it is.
