Amy Cechin
MtnFit Coach

Originally from Texas, Amy moved to South Lake Tahoe in 2021 to embrace the outdoor lifestyle, snowboarding in the winters and mountain biking, hiking, and paddleboarding in the summers.
Her movement journey started young, following along with at-home workout classics like Buns of Steel and Tae Bo at just nine years old. By 15, she was in the gym daily and fell in love with group fitness, all while competing in varsity tennis through high school. At 22, she earned her yoga teacher training certificate from American Power Yoga, deepening her passion for mindful movement. Over the years, she explored everything from running and Beachbody workouts to barre and reformer Pilates, eventually becoming certified to teach reformer Pilates through Pelodog after moving to Tahoe.
Today, she continues to share her love for movement through teaching barre, practicing Pilates, and staying active outdoors. She’s passionate about recovery as well, with cold plunging, sauna, and massage as key parts of her routine.
Her ultimate goal? To keep learning, moving, and helping others feel strong and at home in their bodies, whether that’s on a snowboard, bike, board, or mat.
